About Carevazo
Built by a family that knows the handoff.
Carevazo exists because one person should not have to carry every detail, every update, every preference, and every handoff alone.
This is personal before it is product.
Jim and Jean McCarthy are building Carevazo from lived family experience.
As a technology executive and founder, Jim saw the void in care coordination first hand through his daughter and grandsons. He had also watched his own parents manage care coordination as his grandparents aged, and Alzheimer's later touched his family through his uncle. Different generations, different needs, same missing piece: no shared place for the story, the updates, and the handoff.
A wise grandparent of a grandchild with autism once put words to the feeling behind this work:
“As a grandparent, you feel it twice. Once for your child who is caring for a child with autism and again for your grandchild.”
Jean is the operational heart of the company. She knows elder care first hand from caring for both of her parents, and she knows what it feels like when a family is already tired and a tool, form, portal, or provider process adds one more burden instead of removing one.
Mckenzy Fenton, Carevazo's Chief Mom Officer and the mom of two boys with autism, keeps the work honest from inside the family reality too. Her question is simple: would this actually help someone like us, or is this what people outside the experience think would help?
We start with the person, then bring in the team.
Most systems start with the provider, institution, payer, or form. Carevazo starts with the person receiving care: what helps them feel understood, what changed this week, who needs to know, and what should never get lost in the next handoff.
Decision standard
The standard we keep coming back to
If a tired caregiver would feel turned away, talked down to, or asked to do one more impossible thing, the design is not done.
What that means in the product
One living profile
Not a form for an institution. A place for what people should know first.
Notes that travel
What changed this week, what worked, what did not, and who needs the update.
Family-led access
Families decide who sees what. Context is shared with permission, not taken by default.
Built for the handoff
So helpers, providers, teachers, aides, and relatives do not walk in cold.
Nationwide, deepest in Arizona
Carevazo is available to families across the United States. Profile, journal, team access, and handoff summaries work wherever your care team lives. Arizona is where our local resource guides and community depth are strongest today because that is where our team's lived experience runs deepest.
How we work
- The person receiving care is not a case, chart, or workflow.
- Families are experts on their person. The product should honor that expertise.
- Helpers should meet the person with context, not cold starts.
- We stay honest about what is live today and what is still growing.
Your family. Your team. Finally connected.
We are building Carevazo for families who already do the work. The product should make that work lighter, more dignified, and easier to share.
